History of CTC Heating & Cooling, Inc.
My name is Josh, and I am the President of CTC. My career in the HVAC field began about 18 years ago. It all started in the apartment maintenance field. At that job, I found myself working on furnaces and air conditioners quite a bit. I enjoyed the challenge, and became quite good at it, and decided to take HVAC classes and look for a job in that specific field. Within a year, I left apartment maintenance to become an HVAC technician. My first job had me doing commercial service and replacements all over northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin, and northwest Indiana. I gradually climbed the ladder and worked as lead technician and service manager for a few different companies. In 2008, I decided it was time to start my own business. My dad and I started CTC Heating, Cooling, and Carpentry. I was the heating and air guy. Dad was the carpenter. Looking back, I am amazed at how blessed we had been to start a new business during such a volatile economic time. Accounts came quickly, and business took off at a quick pace. Those first years were a blur. In 2015, Dad retired, and I hired my genius wife to replace him. However, while she may be a genius at running our home, kids, and office, it turned out she wasn’t much of a carpenter, so we ditched carpentry and stuck to what I knew: heating and air.
